Introduction
Have your ever heard of the Vikings? Their tough men with shaggy beards and horned helmets that raided and pillaged every town and city they went to. Well actually they started like anyone in the early B.C period. They only raided when needed and were mostly fishermen, hunter gatherers and mostly took work in agriculture. Then during the iron age they started to settle in Scandinavia but we know it as Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
Early times
The early Scandinavians were very poor because they did not have efficient ways to make money. Then in the iron age they discovered trading and soon trading will became the basis of everything they did. In the 7th and 8th centuries is when shipping technology started to advance. So rather then all the boats being powered by men they were powered by the wind. This opened up to them so many different types of boats designs like long ships, swift shallow drift boats that could navigate coastal and inward waters. 📷
📷 Where they came from
They say, although no one knows for sure, that the ideas of Vikings came from chieftains that wanted to sail out but no one knows the exact reason. Some say it was overpopulation, others say that the chieftains were fighting for dominance, but then most say in was due to political instability. In other words they wanted gold so they sailed to the places with gold and raided. This is where the idea of viking raids came from. They didn't start raiding huge towns and cities instead they started with places like monasteries and smalls homes. Then when they became more experienced they raided stronger cities like Paris and Wales and they almost took siege over those cities.
Raids and Trades
The raids started on a very small scale. They would only do it when they were in need of supplies for the village and they would easily retreat if the resistance was too strong. Then soon then raides became less a need and more of a want, they wanted to dominate new land and raid for power. The raids reached a new high during the second half of the 9thcentury. An example of a raid that was for land, was a raid in France where they were besieged but almost took over paris. But contrary to what most people might think the vikings were not all about raids and war. They made most of their money by TRADE. TRADE. TRADE Yes trade was the Vikings' main point in getting supplies for villages because there was no official currency. They traded things like honey, wool, wheat, tin, and walrus ivory.
A lil bit of shade
Eventually the Vikings made their way to North America where they meet the
natives. And unlike the Europeans and the Spanereds the did not masssacre 95% of the population therefore almost making them go extinct. But anyway they did go to America and they definitely did more trading then raiding .As they did in many other parts of the world, they have very successful trading ports all across Europe and Scandinavia. 📷
Religion
Now one of the most interesting things about vikings is their religion and it's called Nores mythology. Norse mythology has many gods and it starts with odin.Odin becomes the allfather and is hunger for 📷 knowledge. He lost his eye in the journey for knowledge and wisdom. He finds the wisdom he's looking for, but goes through a great deal of pain to do so. The reason he wants to know everything is because he hopes to prevent ragnarok the end of days. Now Thor is the most popular god among 📷 viking and Loki is the trickster god who eventually will turn evil.Thor had a magnificent hammer 📷 called mjolnir the hammer would never miss its target and would always return to him. Thor and Loki would always get into arguments and most of it was Loki's fault so the allfather locked Loki away not to be seen again till ragorock, but he had three children a wolf named Ferein, an enormous serpent named jourmangan, and Hel named after her domain and his kids would be the main causes of 📷 ragnarok came and it was the biggest war of all time so big the earth never stopped shaking. In the end all the gods died and the Loki's children burned the world. But thor had two sons and two humans who hide were still alive a man and a woman and together they repopulated the earth and the 9 realms but in the shadows loki's serpent son jourmangan had a son and he lives and waits in the ragnarok will return.

I think that your pictures can be made smaller, but you'd need to mess with them some. There are quite a few grammatical errors that should have been fixed. You may have chose too big an idea because there is some inconsistent treatment of the subject. However, I do like the tone and I can tell you learned a lot about the Vikings.
The pictures made me want to read more. There were a few grammatical errors, but other than that i really enjoyed reading it.
I liked the article and your choice of pictures. However, I feel like you could have fixed the grammatical error.
I absolutely love how the pictures and information lures the reader to have interest in your topic. One picture is used twice but over all great job.
I really love the picture and how you structured the text
